The 8 Best Wine Openers in the World
Okay, we like Waffles and Mice, but we also like wine. In fact, we seem to fall in love with more and more wine the more we consume. (Weird, we know.)
So much attention is paid to vintage, grapes and cork, that the editors of WaffleMouse felt like it was time to pay homage to the most important ingredient in a great wine experience – the wine opener.
We’re not about to discuss whether using an electric wine opener is sacrilege – that would be silly. Every wine enthusiast knows electric wine openers that work every time are rare, so that if you find a good one, you stick with it (and just enjoy the wine).
Don’t even get us started on the recent move by some vintners to try to sell us on the screw top wine bottles. Pulling a cork is 99% of the experience in enjoying great wine.
Our list of the very best wine openers in the world is a mix of both electric and manual wine openers, and we’re confident you’ll enjoy that tasty 1995 Opus One even more when you use one of these great gadgets.
In vino veritas, as you may know, means “in wine (there is) truth.” Of course, we like to say “in WaffleMouse veritas.” Enjoy!

[...] Wine or Liquor – if you’re certain they can appreciate great wine or liquor, then you’re probably okay going in this direction. If not, avoid buying the 2002 Opus One for someone who enjoys Riunite on Ice (that’s nice). If you know they love wine, but they may not be a true connoisseur, perhaps you want to give them the best wine opener ever invented. In this case, WaffleMouse.com has some great reviews.
